2003 S500 |
by email |
|
| |
I
leased my 2003 S500 in march. By October 25th it was gone.
|
|
| |
Here are just a number of the issues I had to contend wit:
- Broken
seat frames (both Front seats)
- interior
lighting (courtesy and illuminated devices failure)
- Trunk
spring failure (One could have killed me)
- Keyless
go, caused the car to be stuck between gears. I had to sit
in the car for half an hour with the emergency brake on
waiting for roadside assitance to come out and reset the
entire computer.
- The fresh
air damper in the ventilation system leaked causing an
irritating whistle at speeds over 60mph.
- Engine has
a constant vibration at idle. The say it is within normal
specs.
-
Transmission linkage clip snapped, cuasing the shifter to be
inoperable. I put the car in park and got out, only to be
hit in the center of my back by the door post.
|
|
| |
I
gave them numerous opportunities to take the car back without
artbitration. I filed and the settled prior to arbitration. |
|
| |
This is the flagship of the line. We have numerous of each typr
in our fleet. THey all have problems. None to this extent.
|
|
| |
And what is the deal with the C class. I used that as a loaner
twice. I'd rather be diring a civic or corolla.
|
|
| |
I
would not drive another MB if they gave it to me. |

2000 S430 |

I
have a 2000 S430. Had problems with it from the begining. The
problems were too many, but I will list them here:
|
|
| |
1. Check
Engine light remains on
2. Check Oil Level message keeps coming when the oil level
is OK
3. Bulbs kept fusing
4. Driver seat would not move forward/backward
5. Breaks were changed every 10,000 miles
6. Glove compartment would not open (took two days to
repair)
7. Ball joint went bad
8. A/C blower motor went bad
9. Passenger side window stooped going down...replaced motor
|
|
| |
In
addition to these problems, the ATTITUDE of MB service people
added insult to injury. The are very arrogant and tend to talk
down at the customer. I asked them, "Is there some thing wrong
with this picture...I pay you. You don't pay me. You should
treat me as a Customer". |
|
| |
I
even wrote to the President of MB. His reply was a form letter
saying that all Dealers are independantly owned and there is
nothing he can do. |
|
| |
MB
had given me a loaner car during one of the repairs. I drove it
25 miles and couldn't think of putting ONE gallon of gas. When I
returned it, I was surprised to see that they had charged me
$13.50 for gas. Wow, that must be some expensive gas!! |
